Im terrified..the guest list went from 500 to a whopping 700 (that was after deliberating wif the elders that the max ppl that the dewan can handle is 700)..might be..but ffrom wut i experience, more than that can be a but crowdy.

So u might not think other than food..wut wud be the domino efx from this dcision..i need xtra budget for gifts...wut else..cards..postage..n d list goes on and on and on...n im busting my budget..

So now, rather than having a small lil party for us n us family..it became..i dunno..im wordless..

But as they say..kawen skali jak.so as long as the elders happy, im happy..

Wedding band

I know in my last post i said i was going to search for a baker who can make mu cupcakes dreams come true..but later in the weekend, i end up going finding my wedding band.

Im stuck between getting a platinum ring or yellow gold..basically if u r on the traditional side, it will always be yellow gold. but modern brides usually go for platinum..the design is always very simple but elegant.i met a few that fits my budget..

the dilemma strucks when i start making plan to have a matching ring wif him..for platinum ring, that is considered quite easy. but for yellow gold?its quite hard because for the fact that Muslim men cant wear gold.but they can opt for suasa.but somehow i dont think it look nice..

The big thing that comes to mind whenever a wedding will takes place is, of course, THE BUDGET...The budget depends on us actually. Its up to our preferences on how lavish u want ur wedding to be..If u r willing to splurge hundreds of thousands for a one day celebration, or minimizing the cost of event to the very least..its really ur choice..So, here, after googling for a few hours, i come upon a very good breakdown on how the wedding budget wud be..

So question number 1....who will pay for all this?Traditionally, from where i came from, the groom will pay all expenses for the wedding. He will give duit hantaran which purpose is to cover all the expenses of the wedding later..Nowadays, i heard the average will be around RM7k to RM10k. Sum hantaran will be decided by the bride's family, sum will let the groom decide..(tapi padan2 la kalo suruh sendiri decide nak kasi). This all depends actually. Price varies on the family's background, education background,how pretty the bride is, any breakage or scratces minimize the hantaran...(okay2...the latter two is juz blabberizing..>:P) But in the modern society, the expenses is usually shared by both bride and groom but still the major part will b given to the groom.Came to think of it, its like compensation for the family for taking their daughter away. and mind you..daughter is more valuable than son.muahahaha...sumtimes, there are parents who kind enuff to settle sum of the payment..sum even go extra miles by sponsoring the whole wedding..that really depends on luck.i guess if u marry sumone that ur parent relly fancy, that might happen..

How do you expect ur wedding budget would be....Discuss on the initial amount first and divide them into percentage below.There might be sum things listed down here that might be worthless for some...its more on case-to-case basis..

Cakes..Cakes..Cakes

I love cupcakes..i found it very cheeky..in a sense that they look very cute in their lil baskets n icing on top n yet the flavour is juz odinary butter, chocolate or strawberry...i do have the idea of replacing the conventional 3-tier cake for the cake-cutting ceremony but got quickly rejected by the panel of elders...However, despite the rejection, i still wanna put the cupcake element into my wedding..Maybe as gifts to the guest or as hantaran..i lurve cuppacakes (http://cuppacakes.blogspot.com)..they really have nice designs of wedding cuppacakes and also varieties of cupcakes for any occasions..u name it they got it..a bit expensive tho but still, the design and taste worth every cents...

The problem is i have to find sumone in kuching to do sumthing like this for me if i really one it.n finding the right person is always a tedious job to do..i guess the weekend plan is to go cake tasting....

Sesuai la dgn status aku sebagai mem besar dalam ini rumahhh....i wish for anything by tefal to be registered as gifts.wakakaka..im a fan of tefal..the stainless steel luk so chic on the kitchen counter.it will fit very well in my soon-to-be- renovated kitchen (theme: sleek black)..BBQ grills..cookware..bakeware..muticookers..steamers..N friends..Tefal is available at any Parkson nation wide...hahahaha..
