Ehem ehem..kursus pra pernikahan

Last week i went to Majlis Agama Islam Sarawak to attend my kursus kawen..or kursus pra pernikahan (the more canggih n sfistikated version of saying it la)..As u all kno, in order to get married here in kuching, u hv to at least, sit n listen to several session of wedding-related topics for 2 days for u to get a cerificate that can qualify u to be a wife..there is actually a simpler way of getting ur self out of it which is going thru interview..this option is only available in sarawak as in other states, U HV TO ATTEND KURSUS..i have opt for this option before but HE was scared that ppl might get misunderstood of us going thru interview prior getting married coz usually, it isnt a gud thing to attend interview as it sound so 'rushing'to get married (if u kno wut i mean).well, he n his myths..

It was really sweet of HIM to come down to kuching from miri to attend it wif me, tho we can actually attend the kursus anywer we want separately coz the modules are actually the same anywer. but i cant stand the fact that i hv to sit alone wif 149 more strangers listening to wut i tot initially, was going to be a very dull session of ceramahs..But to my surprise, i actually enjoy it!!

The modules were ranged from the basics of Islam such as Aqidah, ibadah to procedures of getting married to filing divorce (isnt it ironic to study about how to get divorce when we initialy came to listen on how to be happy during marriage?) and psycological issues such as stress management, human relations and also resource management (which is basically how to spend ur time n money during courtship) and last but not least, health (i found lots of interesting facts here..hiks)

Here i listed a few facts that are interesting enuff to share:
1. Sarawakians like to marry foreigners from 1. Indonesia 2. New Zealands & Australia 3. African Nations

2. There is actually a couple who divorce because of the way the wife cooked ayam goreng wasnt similar to the way her mother in law's style (the husband was an african)

3. Girls...plzzz..we really hv to learn the real deal of mandi hadas coz after u get married u ll b surprise on where u really hv to sucikan..(diz really freaks me out)..

4. Kursus kawen in kuching is still FOC..unlike in other parts of the country, u hv to pay for like rm60?? n we still hv free food..:)

5. i am one of the oldest person among the girls who attend the kursus..believe it or not, during my session, the average age of girls attending kursus is 19-22..n im 25!!anak dara tua ke aku???

It was really interesting coz the way the ustaz n ustazah deliver the kursus was really gud..not all la..but most delivered well. i think they manage to keep us awake wf interesting stories of ppl getting married n also lame jokes about sx (which annoyed me the most coz there wsa diz one guy who terkekek-kekek tetak everytime the ustaz mention about sx..kesian la tunang ko)..
So..a step nearer to get married..lots of forms to fill n sijil to be fotostat..hmmm...i hate doing these alone....

Note: Angah, aku berjaya pasang tudung aku dengan lengkapnya dan membuktikan yang kepala aku bukan lah senget seperti yang diwar-warkan sebelum ni..wakaka..

Modern Myth That He Believes

One day, we were having lunch at my house..As usual, i always have my nasi wif kicap..me n kicap are like inseparable..Juz like him n his tempoyak ikan bilis (which i really hate)..



Him: u shud get rid of ur kicap-nasi eating habit u kno..

Me: What???Why??

Him: u hv to practice coz when u get pregnant later u shudnt eat anything wif kicap for like everyday..or 9 mnths at least..

Me: And again, why is dat so?

Him: Ppl said u'll have baby gelap if u keep on eating kicap during pregnancy..

Me: Duuuhhhh.....

Still wondering y he belifs in dat thingy...hmm...

My Overprice Life

I was sending him to the airport today..

Me: Starbucks jom..i need my caffix..
Him: You kno u can actually make ur own coffee..less sugar less price..

Minutes later..me n my frapp n my happpy smiling face..

Him: Hmm...rm12 for coffee..u and ur overprice coffee n ur overprice donut (my big apple donut)..
Me: Hehe..welcome to my overprice life..:P
Him: Yeah...rite..

Ai hv told u ppl b4, both of my choices for my tekul ring n wedding ring are white gold..but a problem that occurs when using white gold is some of them tend to turn yellowish.why??Read on ppl...

Have you ever purchased a white gold ring only to wear it for a few months and then notice it has a yellow hue? Why does white gold turn yellow? Why is it most of the older white gold rings do not change color? These are common questions in recent years pertaining to white gold.

To understand white gold is to first understand how it is created. Gold does not come out of the ground white, rather, it is yellow. To create white gold (or any other color for that matter) it MUST be mixed with other color metals, also called 'alloys'. Using higher quality lighter metals produces white gold that will not change color. For example: platinum and palladium alloys will produce a white gold that will not turn yellow...it will turn grayish however. Take a good look at one of your grandmother's white gold rings and I'll bet it is still as white as the day she purchased it.

The older white golds and more expensive white golds in today's market are alloyed with platinum and/or palladium.. then finished with rhodium. A typical 18k white gold formula with palladium alloy might be, in parts per thousand: Gold 750, Silver 40, Copper 40, Palladium 170. Due to the fact platinum and palladium are more expensive than cheaper typical alloy metals white gold is more expensive then yellow gold in some cases. When the gold content lowers, such as 14K, the alloy content rises.

Here are some basic gold formulas:

A typical 18K white gold containing nickle alloy might be, in parts per thousand: Gold 750, Copper 55, Nickel 145, Zinc 50. The result is a white gold ring that turns yellowish over time (and a risk of dermatitis due to the nickel...and again if the gold content is lower (10K or 14K) and alloy is higher, this is a larger risk). To avoid this during the initial sale of the jewelry the piece is usually 'dipped' in rhodium. The rhodium dipping is for all intensive purposes actually 'plating'.

The problem with this practice is the everyday consumer does not realize that this rhodium plating will, in time, wear off and leave behind white gold that is not so white anymore. Many retailers have started to offer 'maintainence' programs (for an extra cost of course) which includes yearly rhodium dipping, as well as, prong checking/tightening. If you have a piece of white gold jewelry that you would like to be brought back to 'new' white, most good jewelers will offer this service for a very reasonable price ($40-$75).

The obvious loophole to this problem is to purchase either high quality jewelry or estate antique jewelry. Your other option is to have your jewelry maintainenced by a reputable jeweler. Of course, purchasing platinum is another alternative. There are several 'finishing' sites on the internet that have discussion forums regarding this topic.

I get many version of diz info..thru mail thru sms…I also hear many version of the stories..

Version 1

A bunch of freaks in Indonesia are testing their santet power that is claimed to kill anyone who pick up their hp with the given no. displayed on screen and mind you…the hp screen turns red when it happens..

Version 2

A guy is testing to channel infra red radiation thru hp that can kill those who pick up their fon. And mind you again, radiation do kill…

So how true is diz? I heard that there was a posting in someone’s blog which says the sms actually came from a teenage girl as a prank and forwarded to a bunch of frens. Diz was said to be reported in Batam Post..(The date of posting was 9 May)…

To be honest, I also freaked out a bit when I got diz msg. Wondering if its true tho it sounds funny that even santet power can be upgraded by chanelling their ilmu thru hp networks…i started thinking..will they go after broadbands too??bayangkan, they channeled their santet power while im sitting here blogging,hiks..ngeri2…But last nite, I dnt even kno who called me coz it was a private number and as u guessed I dint pick up the phone fearing that it cud be those santet freaks..hehe..silly billy..Mum also started to shriek ;jangan angkaaattttttt’…hehe..

The incident really refreshed my memory during the time when hantu purdah was famous. A lady who used santet to beautify herself but accidentally luk at her own reflection in the mirror, which was one of her pantang, so in the end, to make things back to normal she has to search for a number of virgin girls n get their blood. At that time I was still in secondary skool. Commuting from skool to home and vice versa by bus.But during that time, mum was freaking scared that hantu purdah will come n hunt me so for about 3 weeks I got the luxury of going to skool using car..:) but when the story ended juz like dat n I was forced to go to skool by bus again..hmmmm…

But it doesn’t matter to me also..if its true or not. As long as im careful wif my in coming calls..i guess im safe..but whoever freaks dat can really do diz..asked for Bush’s number..hiks..

F-i-n-a-l-l-y...

I found my wedding ring..yay…J went to tHe Spring yesterday..wanted to buy donuts initially coz I hv been drooling on the donuts d whole week..it seems like im the only one in kuching who has not taste the supposedly-to-be-wonderful donut..i was skeptical at 1st..i mean how difference a donut really taste from one another..tp initially ni suma salah azim sbb tunjuk gambar jco donuts yg abang die bawak time lawat die kat kl..Gosh ..i miz that donut..so after trying it out for the 1st time last two days, im hooked…ive to stop there after work eversince coz my whiny little sister keep on asking for more..luckily umah dekat jak ngan spring..so now im giving free publicity to ppl in THE BIG APPLE DONUTS…those donuts r heavenly..not too sweet..soft enuff to my liking n many choices too..i guess if u dnt hv jco over here, big apple is still d best bet..

So..as our donuts r too delicious to be left n waited be eaten, the dozens diminished within minutes..yes...the very bongan of my family..i googled n found images of Big Apple Donuts..

Alamak…..terlebih sudah..(haha..lame ol me) diz is about supposedly a post about my wedding ring people…when it comes to the RING and the DRESS..ppl always say dat u will found the one when u see the one..confusing??well, basically, u kno its gonna b ur ring by only from the first glance..still confusing? Hehe…figure out urself..it sounds mo complicated when I try to explained it..

I ve decided to choose white gold wif diamond..a simple band. I chose not to complicate the design as my cincin risik is already quite heavy-designed and considering it to be used for a life time..i rather have one that is easy to maintain n simple..and best of all it comes in pair..luks cute too..fits the budget nicely and it really is how I wan me ring to be like at the first place..plain of jane…yang penting MEANINGFUL…

It's so easy to move ahead and go on with life but we both know we don't want to.

I get lotsa reactions when i said I was getting married diz aug…Somehow or rather it can be quite amusing sometimes. Mayb for the fact that im 25, I don’t really act like one. But as everyone says age is juz a number..so wut the heck if I feel young at heart…

I cant really recall how I said to my mum dat I was getting married..n I even cant recall how my bf proposes to me..hiks..pity pity..but no crime done..its the tots dat matter..all I remember was booking for the dewan coz we hv plan to get it done during school holidays n everyone knows dat skool holidays are meant to be wedding marathon for most..both of us have large families that resides almost anywer. And being a lovable daughter-son, frenz, nieces-nephews, god-son-daughter, we really love everyone to witness the special moments..so I guess august is the perfect choice. So after booking the dewan, I sort of knowing my wedding date very early n being very full-of-myself the dates spreads like lingam’s videos..hiks..

So I get many reactions..but most wud go..

“OMG..for real??u r settling down?”

“r u sure he’s d one?”

“kesian nya laki yang dapat kau” -yeah..i do really get diz..my pathetic boy friends..ko jeles nak ko sik kawen ngan aku..hahaha…(still vain of me..always full of myself)

So seriously..wut is d perfect age of getting married?i dnt think it’s the age that matters..but the mindsetting..its how far u r willing to commit urself to another level of relationship..during this period, im sure there are many ‘what-ifs’ in my mind..wut if he’s not actually the ‘one’? wut if im not a good wife? Wut if I cant cook? Wut if I cant wake up early in the moring to iron his shirt wif perfect straight sharp lines on the edges? Wut if his family doesn’t like me? Wut if..wut if…the lists neverends..But all diz are risks that im willing to take..im sure those who r getting married will have this feelings of mine..

So..the wedding is really near..and im really nervous about it..once in a while I get to play the bridezilla but I still hv my tolerance level so its fine n I really need to loosen up a little..

So wut if im getting married?new adventure..new life..new me…
